My Secret Swap Partner Is Mona of My Old Crow Primitives!

I can't even begin to tell you how excited I was when my swap package arrived! It felt like Christmas morning as I opened one treasure after another. Mona of My Old Crow Primitives was my swap partner and she sent the most wonderful things! All of her hand made items are so beautiful. Take a look at the photo and you'll see a heart and crow make do that is so fabulous! The little wire heart is filled with rose hips that smells very good! She also made several ornies including an angel, cat, and a ginderbread man. And the crow pillow pin keep is so sweet. I'm already putting it to good use! She also sent along several other items I can use for my own creations such as a bundle of various homespun fabrics, wood bobbins, vintage buttons, and rusty bells. Life has been so busy! And with the school year wrapping up, it's just getting busier! But I found a little time to create something special for WSOAPP's latest launch which starts today. I'll be listing this wonderful moon and crow wall hanger later this evening on Ebay. Both are made from painted and grungied muslin. I added a little Spanish moss, sweet annie, and a hang tag that says "Sweet Dreams". I used a great pattern by Tennessee Ridge Primitives. Drop by Ebay and take a look if you've got a minute. I just had to share a picture of this cute as can be cat I just finished. He's trying to decide whether to eat the maine course or dessert first! His little tag say SWEET. Waiting For Spring!

I'm beginning to wonder if Spring will ever come. I thought it was a possibility when it was in the low 60's yesterday and Thursday. But today it's been raining and the temperature is 40. So now its cold and wet! But I've been keeping busy writing my lesson plans, grading papers, and ,of course, sewing and painting. I added a few new things to my WSOAPP Shoppe and I plan to list two or three new auctions on Ebay tomorrow evening. I hope you'll have some time to take a look! Here's a sneak peek!

Time Flies!

I've been so busy that there hasn't been time to update my blog for such a long time! School is back in session and my evenings and weekends are filled with grading papers and writing lesson plans. My husband and I did managed to get away to the Covered Bridge Fesitval in Indiana a couple of weeks ago. What a great time we had! The fall colors were beautiful and there was plenty of good food and flea market and antique shop treasures to be found. In between all this I've been trying to keep a few things on ebay as well as in my WSOAPP shoppe! If you haven't visited this site, be sure to do so and check out all the other members of the Whispered Secrets of a Primitive Past as well. Hello and welcome! My name is Rosanne of Ro's Cluttered Attic. I am a 2nd grade teacher by day and a creator of Primitives by night. My life is full of many things I love to do, but sewing is one of my favorites. I began sewing way back in Junior High. I remember my first project which was a purple corduroy bag for my little pink sponge hair curlers! My sewing interests have gone through many phases over the years, and I must say I've come a long way! I discovered Primitives a few years back and was immediately hooked. I was amazed that something new could be made to look so vintage and well loved. I also discovered that it took a lot of time and effort to achieve that special look. Offering my work on E-bay has been fun and exciting. It's rewarding to know that my work is in homes all across the U.S. Thank you for taking the time to stop in and visit.
